Hello all

I hope someone may be able to shed some light on my problem.

My handheld has become totally unresponsive with a blank screen and the led on/off button lit. The led stays lit until I place the device in the cradle but then is on again when I take it out of the cradle.

I recently installed Docs to Go and moved it to expansion card. When I then tried to run the app the device locked up and required a soft reset. A further attempt resulted in the dilemma I now find myself in.

It will not respond to a soft reset, a warm reset or even a hard reset. No response whatsoever.

Incidently, the scroll up button appears to have a strange "feel" to it like it may be stuck in. It feels different to the scroll down button.

I am not sure whether either of the above situations may have caused my problem.

I am about to take the thing in for repair (the warranty expires at the end of the month) but thought I would see if anyone could shed some light on a possible cause before I do.

Thanks in advance

Scott

This sounds like you may be experiencing what is known as a "green light crash." I do not know if there is any information on this site about GLC, but there has been substantial discussions in the forums at PalmInfocenter.

I'm sorry that I can't summarize this information for you in a succinct fashion. If it is a GLC, however, there are some solutions for you there.

Thanks for the information - I have looked at the palminfocenter boards and my symptoms do sound like a GLC. None of the remedies have worked yet though - I will keep trying.
