Zire Internet Help!

Hey. When i go to the Hotsync icon on my Zire's home screen, i discovered it could connect to a modem. i set up everything to try to connect to my computer's modem by the cable supplied. i tried bt the palm said it couuldn't find a modem and the compter came up with a message about a "Smartheap Library?" Please help me out. Thanx!

Check out your user manual, located in the desktop software package. Modem allows you to sync through a wireless phone or other IR capable device. If you are on a desktop/laptop, and hot*synced, Why would you want to use the relatively small ram in the Zire to browse the net?
