I have 12 people in the field collecting data on their Pocket PCs and each day we manually merge this back into a centralized database we have in the office. We are currently using MS Access on the Palm OS, but this has proven much too difficult and time consuming to merge data together every day and make sure everyone has the most up-to-date information.
I found a company called Adesso Systems who seem to have strong product for what we need. I've been told their platform allows me to build database applications for the PocketPC, hand this off to my field workers and have them collect data on their handhelds. Then, they have a server piece that manages users permissions and allows them to synchronize their data automatically.
I'm interested in their offering and wonder if anyone has heard of them or uses them? Their Web site is www.adessosystems.com - if anyone has any experience or impressions, I would really appreciate it.”
