Has anyone been able to setup the E740 to connect to internet and/or local network using Linksys BEFW11S4 v.2 access point? Toshiba is of little help on this matter.
Here is what I've have:
1) Linksys Access Point is flashed with 1.42.7 firmware
1) I'm not able to Ping E740 from computer on network
1: No WEP encryption enabled on Access Point or E740
2: In START>SETTINGS>SYSTEM>WIRELESS LAN UTILITY
A) I do get good link quality with 75% signal quality.
B) The E740 was asigned the ip address of 192.168.1.102 with subnet of 255.255.255.0 by the DHCP server in Access Point.
C) The Gateway is correct as being 192.168.1.1 which is the ip address of my router.
D) The SSID is correct. The channel is also correct.
E) The Mode is set to Infrastructure
F) WEP is Disabled
G) I have "ENABLE POWER SAVING MODE" turned OFF
3) In START>SETTINGS>CONNECTIONS>CONNECTIONS
A) I have tried all of the following patterns
a) Internet, Work, Internet
b) Internet, Internet, Work
c) Work, Work, Internet
4) I have 128 bit High Encryption Pack installed
5) In START>SETTINGS>CONNECTIONS>NETWORK ADAPTORS>IEEE 802.11b WLAL Adaptor
A) I currently have "USE SERVER ASSIGNED IP ADDRESS" selected with nothing in the "NAME SERVERS" tab
B) I have tried setting the IP Address and Gateway manually but makes no difference.
