I have RIM 957 (Blackberry) and I haven't used it for like in months and i can't seem to remember the password. I made few attempts and now the pda says the device has been disabled due to security violation and it tells me to refer to the book and the book is no help either. The software i currectly have is the Internet Version not the Enterprise. I would like to know how can i delete all the information in there and start all over. I am not too familiar with this PDA so if you can proivde me little more depth information on how to handle this i would appreciate it. Maybe little step by step would help. Thanks

The security violation came up because you tried the password 10 times or more. What you need to do now is run thru the application loader in the Destop Manager software. Click nect on the first screen of the application loader. On the second screen it will show all aplications checked, leave this and say next. Then it should ask if you want to keep current settings or increase space. Do increase space and say next. Then it will give you 2 otpions to erase aplications and erase data. Make sure both are checked and then say next and then finish. This will wipe out os and reload the default applications. Now because you have already recieved the security violation screen you probably cant back up the device so hopefully you have all your info in your mail program like outlook. If so, you can then sync your blackberry with outlook to get all your data back in the blakcberry. Hope this helps.:)

to reload the applications in desktop mgr the easiest and fastes way is to just reload the s/w on the users desktop and then re-sync.
