Can you purchase a third-party WiFi card for the Axim, or do you have to buy it exclusively from Dell?

I bought a Dell Axim X5 and I love it. I bought a hard flip case for it from www.thepocketsolution.com and its really nice (because the pouch dell provides makes it too bulky to fit comfortably in a pocket) THe only problem is I can't get a WI-FI card for my CF slot because the flip hunge covers the CF slot (this isn't a problem if there is a card in the slot, but WI-FIs stick out an inch or so. My question is does anyone know of a WI-FI that doesn't stick out (liek is just the length of a CF card) or if that doesn't exist, does anyone know of which card has the smallest "antenna" (plastic part that extends beyond the normal CF card length) I'm lookin for somethin no more then a 1/4 inch (but the less the better. (because i can adjust the flip case so it is higher but if its too high then it wont be covering the entire face of the PDA and then i lose the entire purpose of teh case.
2ndly... if no one knows of such a CF card.... does anyone have any other types of cases for their Axim? I upgraded to this from a PalmVx and I loved the hard case I had for that. Sadly no cases that i could find exist for the Axim.
and last but not least, does anyone know if their is or their will be a WI-FI card for the SD slot?

THanks

i believe the shortest card is actually the one dell provides. I don't have it, i have the linksys one, but I have a friend who had the dell one, and I'd say it only stuck out about 5/8ths of an inch. it's really not bad priced at dell either. During their sale early this week it was only $58, including shipping.

I also don't think there will be any wifi adapters for the sd slot on the axims, someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe it is only for memory cards, and does not support the correct protocols or something for any devices like network cards, etc.

If you are looking to do some serious network snooping with your card, i wouldn't go CF. If you want to add an external antenna, i wouldn't go CF. So basically if you want to use your wifi for powerful stuff, go pcmcia. Yes, thats right i said pcmcia. You have to get a CF-> PCMCIA adapter but its well worth it, plus you can get alot more goodies in PCMCIA variety and cheaper

I ended up getting a case (from the UK of all places) that is similar to the Palm vx cases (the ones that open left to right, instead of top to bottom) so now the wi-fi issue i posted about earlier isn't really an issue. SO i was wondering which wi-fi card gives the best range. I see that the linksys one says it has a 300ft range indoors. Does anyone know of a card that advertises a higher range? ( I know the advertised range isnt set in stone, but the highest advertised indoor range should be the best one)
