is there a program to reduce the file to a smaller size or do, most of you have a lot of extra memory. i would like to be able to watch short films or even movies, if anybody has any knowledge of this subject i would appreciate it.

wmv's are the smallest format for movies as in min/mb. You will lose quality to make movies smaller. Check pockettv.com and they will lead you to a website that teaches you to save movies on a smaller format.
