Hi

I tried to use document to go 4 after having a dociment written with document to go 5. that cause a fatal error massage with fatal exception and option to do reset.
When I touch the reset it returned to the same error message after reset. also a soft reset did the same. When I did warm rest, it got me to the preference screen, but the digitizer was out of synchronization and I couldn't touch the app or the roll down menu for the digitizer.

If no one has a solution for the soft/warm rest, I'll have to do a hard reset, which brings me to the second question. If I do a hard reset and need to update the whole database (thank god I did synchronization last night) do I have to change something in the hotsync setup, like desktop overrides handheld and stuff ?

Thanks very much

BTW, I use palm Vx with palmOS 3.5

This may be too late and if so I am sorry, but just saw your post. If you have had to do a hard reset, all you need to do when you sync is to chose the user name (yours should be the only one if you are the only one to sync on the desktop) and if should put things back the way they were. Let us know if you were able to get things back to normal.

Have a good day,

Hi

Thanks anyway, it is too late (also the answer form palm was few hours too late, but good to know that someone is responding).
I made a hard reset and than change in the hotsync setup everything to desktop overrides handheld (didn't know if I need it, but did it anyway)

It worked well, but I still like to know if there's a better way (for next time)

thanks
