My Palm m515 was previously syncing fine on my computer. Recently, my computer stopped recognizing the USB-connected Palm cradle when plugged in and out of different USB ports on my computer. Hotsync function stopped working. I received a Hotsync problem stating that the connection between the handheld and computer could not be established. I completely uninstalled Palm Desktop Software and received an error in ikernel.exe stating that there was an instruction at a referenced memory that could not be read (Instruction at "0X771C741A' could not be read at reference memory "0X0-1633A0")and that ikernel.exe had to be shut down. I received the same message when reinstalling the Palm Desktop Software. My computer still fails to "see" the cradle when I plug it in and out of the USB ports.
Any advice? I tried removing Winddows XP Hotfix (SP2) Q328310. This got rid of the IKernal.exe error (I think) but the computer still will not see the cradle.

I have the exact same problem with my m130. PLEASE HELP !

What I did:

- re-installed Palm Desktop 1000 times
- Checked all connections
- Checked all USB ports
- Tried all possible settings in HotSync

Note: I tried it on my laptop and it all worked fine. Thus the error is not with the PDA.
