Does anyone know how much of the 32MB of RAM will be available to the OS (and therefore to the user)?
Will this memory or the memory in the SD slot be accessable just like regular Palm memory so you can run programs from it?
I emailed Garmin a while back, and haven't had a reply from them yet.

I rec'd a reply from Garnin about RAM usage the other day.
"Because the iQue 3600 is not yet available and it's internal components are subject to change, I am unable to comment on the unit's operational features at this time. As the release date of the iQue 3600 comes upon us, please keep an eye on the website for further information. www.garmin.com. "
I guess we'll all just have to wait!

The iQue of course will use the sd cards. I have posed the question to Garmin regarding how that memory slot will be used and from what was relayed to me the iQue will be able to use that for additional software available to be used on the Palm platform. The key though is the use of the road map software is able to be downloaded onto the SD card and used to store the City Select software which take up quite a bit of space especially if you are planning to download a large section of the US at once onto the iQue.

I know that the SD cards are usable, the question was would information on the card be accessable through some sort of "file manager" and would the Palm OS be able to see all 32MB of "on board" RAM at once.
It would be nice to see something like "Free Space 53M of 64M" in the Info Panel (or whatever the OS5 equivalent is), if a 32MB SD card was installed, or even "28m of 32m" without a card.
