Anyone having problems syncing MP3 files? When I try it, Active Sync loses connection during the sync. I get part of the file on the Axim. While syncing an MP3, the Active Sync icon in the system tray turns grey after a short chime on the Axim which indicates the lost connection. I have tried a hard reset and reloaed Active Sync. I have also tried using Active Sync 3.6 and have tried several different MP3s. I am running Win 2000.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

check your memory settings i have had the same problem. For various reasons the memory is managed automatically. i would have the memory slider bar in front of me, slide the bar to give me more than enough free memory and then begin syncing. I was trying to load an mpeg file approx 23 mb and it would load up until a certain point and then stop every single time
i dont know what is going on currently i am looking in this menu......start>settings>memory>storage card...it says total storage card memory 21.24mb in use .48 mb free 20.84 mb
dell claims the 400mhz axim to have 64mb of memory if i read the spec sheet right....could this storage card be part of that total? its confusing
im going to start a new thread on this to get some answers

I have tried using Explorer from the MS ActiveSync. It still disconnects upon transfer leaving a partial MP3 file on the Axim. I can play that partial MP3 in WMP.
I have looked at the slide memory bar in SETTINGS and it is halfway between software and programs.
Thinking something must be wrong with the memory, I have even done a hard reset and then tried to sync one 2.3 MB MP3 and it would not transfer. I have tried several differnt MP3s and get the same results. I have 6 other people in my office that have AXIMs and they can transfer MP3s. I have tried to transfer the same ones they have synced.

I don't know why you are having this problem, but I can tell you that I transfer most files from my PC to a memory card then insert the card into my Axim.
Hope that helps.

I encountered this problem when I tried to transfer large files(>7Mb). Smaller files transfered just fine.

I didn't see that you also had plugged the power to charge your Ax at the same time you are plugged in. Are you using a cradle? Make sure that your Ax is recieving power. Don't use explorer in AS, use the file explorer from My Computer, you should see Mobile Device next to your drives.
