I know this has been most likely addressed before... but I still can't get applications/data to my memory stick. Some applications "tout" memory stick compatible, but give no hint on how to use the Mem stick. Any help would be greatly appeciated!

PS. I was looking at the first "Palm" that ever came out... circa 1995 .. says USRobotics, Then Palm on the front. Still works but I don't use it. I think maybe it will be worth something someday (had a whopping 512k memory!)

That wasn't the first Palm... the first ones said "USRobotics" and "Pilot." The originals had 128K, no backlight, no beaming. I still have mine, complete with busted screen. (Pilot 1000- 128K; Pilot 5000- 512K; PalmPilot Personal- 128K and backlight; PalmPilot Professional- 512K and backlight. All of these were upgradeable by replacing the memory board, first with a 1MB OS 1.0 board, then with a 1MB "Professional" OS 2.0 board w/backlight support, then with the "Palm III" 2MB OS 3.0 board with infrared and flash ROM.)
As for your Clie, you should be able to choose whether to sync to RAM or to the MS in your HotSync Manager. If not, try the freeware program Filez. (I'm not a Clie user, but I think I've read that there is a program called MSImport that lets you use your Clie's MS as you would use an external drive on your computer. You can drag/drop programs to the stick that way.)

you need to install the application "MS EXPORT" from your Clie disc. this will put the application on your desktop computer, then clie apps you want to install to the memory stick should be installed from there instead of the clie desktop application.
