I also read that the Tungsten C will be released next month and the W will be released on Friday (28 Feb), in case you want to wait for either of them.

Us who paid in the high 300's feel like chumps... I can't imagine how those who paid in the high 400's feel.

Still, whenever you buy ANYTHING tech... You know it will always be available cheaper the next week.

I bought mine TT in oktober 02, and paid €600,- for it (1€=~1us$).....but Iwas able to show off the little magical device for allready 4 months...

What about the TC?, pricing/ specs....? anyone??

Vibrancy?

I know what you mean (my girlfriend's using my IIIc now, and although I hadn't noticed when I first gave it to her, now whenever I see the screen, I'm envious of the brightness and color saturation.

But ... vibrancy? (Is that a word?) ... Vibrating screens?

Actually, what I'd like is a TOUGHER digitizer (scratch-resistant) or a slightly softer-tipped stylus.

I've read that the Tungsten C already appears in Staples' inventory and lists for $499.99. There is speculation that the "C" stands for camera (as in built-in digital camera, a la Clie) and/or it may contain built-in wi-fi. Again, that's all speculation and rumor. Here's a link:

Of course "vibrancy" is a word! But to be sure, I checked my Webster's Dictionary and sure 'nuff, there it was!:)

As far as paying more for my TT at an earlier date and feeling worse than a chump, I'm in agreement with Kennethsf. I bought mine on Oct 29th, the day after it was released, and paid $461 for it. I've had 4 months usage (and showing off) of the greatest, most advanced Palm available. The WOW factor from the people who have seen what my TT can do has been great (and I have to admit, a bit ego boosting.) More importantly, it does so much more for me in work and business than my m505 did, although, in its defense, my m505 served me very well for 2 years. If you cost out the TT's $100 drop over the 120 days since it has been available, then my TT cost $0.83 per day, which is far less than a cup of coffee. ... Prices for technology will always be dropping over time. It's just a matter of personal choice predicated upon affordability, desire, etc. as to when one feels it is right to make the purchase, if at all. e.g. I did not purchase an m515 to replace my m505, because I could not, in my mind, justify the cost vs. the increased RAM and brighter screen. Speaking of waiting for prices to drop, I hear that Intel 286 CPUs are extremely affordable today.:D I don't regret buying my TT when I did. I'm anxious to see what the C offers!

I guess you have a good point... if you wait for the price to drop to "the right point" ... you can never buy ANYTHING. Still, I'm actually tempted to get another one... but that's just craziness... it'd be so cool to have two TT's (no pun intended) ...

I'd love to bluetooth stuff across... just for the heck of it.

I thought I was glowing vibrantly, but it turned out to be just the light from my TT's screen bouncing off of my face. :( ... I wonder if there exists a utility that will turn the light off and on rapidly? Can someone say "disco strobe"? :D
