Has anyone else encountered problems with Eudora on their i330? I have had fatal alerts when I try using Eudora after sync'ing with the desktop and having no emails in any of my folders (inbox, outbox, deleted, etc..). I can live with out sync'ing with my desktop but it was because of this other issue that I have removed Eudora, not to mention that they do not provide any form of support for this product due to it being free. I also noticed that my i330 freezes when I choose send/receive for out going emails as well as checking for emails on the server. The strange thing is when I choose send/receive without any out going emails it works fine, but when I have a message going out, it freezes. I have moved on to Mark/Space Mail for my email needs. Unfortunately the i330 has some onboard software bugs causing some conflictions during the connecting to the PCS network process, these can be worked out by manually connecting via the Network preferences menu. It beats paying monthly/annually fees for similar services and programs crashing my i330 system, oh well.

I have been using Eudora for a couple of weeks with no problems. I have it going to sprintpcs as well as my isp. With or without mail to send it works fine. I can check one or both op accounts with no problems.

David,
Does your other email account, not Sprint, require SMTP authorization?

Humm... I want to say yes. The problem is now that I tink back I did get errors trying to send through my ISP. I loaded a demo copy of Mark/Space Mail after reading your post and like it very much. The bad news is my i330 just rolled over dead. It locked up and now will not even power on. I ran down to the Sprint store and within minutes walked out with a brand new one. The bad news is the cradle is at home so I basically have an over priced phone at the moment. I will need to get it synced up and reloaded with apps to do more testing. The failures I would get when sending through my IPS's SMTP would complain about a bad address. I have not had a chance to track it down yet.

David,
Please remember when using Mark/Space Mail if you want to avoid time out errors during the logging in process, use the network preference screen to log in.
Some third party launchers have shortcuts to the network screen, which is a nice feature.

Jason,
Thanks for the network tip. It seems like my "send" fails because of restrictions my ISP has set. I will need to look into this a little more when I have time. For now I will use Sprints SMTP server.
