What's the best guess on this card working in a netBook?

This looks like a fabulous bit of kit.

My guess would be that it will probably require the new version of the netBook, with the higher powered PC slot.

It is JUST a guess though!

I agree with Netbookbabe as the card is very new. Probably a good idea if you check out the Nokia site and get a bit more technical info. The Expansys site does not confirm voltage requirements, etc.

The WLAN part will only work if it uses the Cisco or Lucent chipset - I think you can find this out from the FCC ID, but I don't know what the ones to look for are  If it does use one of these chipsets, it will not need the new motherboard to work.

The GPRS side is a whole new ball game though. I don't know whether this model is supported, but it will need the new motherboard 'cos GPRS seems to need more current.

I wonder what the GPRS cards will do to the battery life of the Psion.

PCMCIA cards do use a great deal of battery power. I assume the GPRS / Bluetooth cards use slightly more as they are actually sending and receiving radio signals to communicate. You would still get more battery life than out of a laptop though !!
