Has anyone tried the Bluetooth GPS module from Socket with a Clie of any sort, but specifically with the N760C? It seems like a pricey GPS solution, but all GPS items are expensive. I have seen bundles with the Mapopolis software for the iPac and Palm Tungsten. Has anyone seen a similar bundle with the Sony Bluetooth memory stick, mapping software, and the GPS module? Or has anyone just bought the components to know if it works?

Sony does not seem to be interested in GPS, and with the exception of Japan, over the last few years has divested itself of almost all of it's GPS hardware and software products.
The Sony Memory Stick GPS module works with Navin' You (Clie), and Map Cutter (desktop), both of which require Japanese OS's. The map format is Sony proprietary and only maps of Japan are available. In summary, the GPS module works only in Japan.
The Sony Bluetooth Memory Stick is currently only officially supported in Japan. The packaging, manuals and desktop software are all written in Japanese. However, it is possible to load the executable files manually from the install CD. Many people are successfully using Bluetooth memory sticks for a variety of applications on non-Japanese models of Clie. That said, it seems likely that the Socket GPS receiver could be used successfully with a (Bluetooth) Clie and appropriate applications such as Destinator, Mapopolis and Pharos.
Given the total cost of the Socket receiver, Bluetooth memory stick and Clie this becomes a very costly GPS solution, not to mention that you need to have both devices close at the same time. (Receiver in the backpack and Clie in hand may not work.) You also loose the use of the Memory Stick slot while you are using the Bluetooth stick.
Although I like Sony products, I would not suggest any Sony GPS solutions for use outside Japan.
