SDIO and Hotsync Plug

I know its early, but has anyone heard of a SDIO Modem that will work with a Palm OS and thereby the Garmin IQue?

Also any thoughts on what the Hotsync plug will be like, perhaps the same as Palm?? Then a serial cord could be routed to a modem or cell phone??

I'm not sure what you mean by a SDIO modem. There are cards for Bluetooth and there will be a couple of 802.11b ones soon.

I guess that the HotSync port will be similar to many other Palm devices. You cannot assume that it will be the Universal Connector though, if that's what you wanted to know.

This photo ( iQueBottomCallOuts (http://www.garmin.com/products/iQue3600/graphics/iQueBottomCallOuts.gif) ) shows the connector. According to an article at Brighthand (http://www.brighthand.com/article/CES_EdHardyReport_Jan9) , the connector *is* Palm's universal connector.
