Palm Vx - froze - help out please?

Hi,
my palm froze - didnt responde to anything - had to reset - went to the logo of palm - stayed like that until the batteries went out - hooked it to the charger - opened the logo again.
any idea?

as if resetting couldnt be more helpful at a time like this...

Im not sure about this, but try a hard reset, you will loose all your data, but you can synconize it after you reset it

you reset it by pressing the reset button and the power button at the same time
hold onto the power button but release the reset button..keep holding it for a few seconds....
let go of the power button and press up

as soon as I let go of the pin the logo comes up
and it stays like thas forever...

lemme explain better
1.) first you press the reset button

2.) THEN you press the powerbutton while the reset button is still being pressed by you

3.) while still holding to powerbutton, let go of the reset button...make sure you actually hold your powerbutton on while you release the reset button.

4.) then release the power button

5.) then you SHOULD received a message asking if you want to erase all the data or not.

if THAT still doesnt work, then do the steps from the beginning all the way to step 5 but in the end, if you still dont recieve a message, press the power button again
and if that STILL doesnt work, then good luck finding another palm!

Check the contrast button on the top edge of the Palm Vx to ensure it is not stuck in the depressed (down) state. Check all the buttons and make sure they are moving down and back up when pressed. Dirt or other substance can cause a button to get stuck and create the symptoms you describe. Gently pushing on the button might free it up without having to open the case. Good luck.

The contrast button ids the one that generally gets stuck and makes the Palm useless. Try moving it if necessary you can pry it out with a small tool and then return the button.
