I have The PsiWin 2.3.3 installed on my PC in an XP OS.
I can sync my outlook 2000 contact with my contacts on the REVO no problem.
The email sync also works fine.
When trying to sync the agenda file I keep on getting the error "unable to open file: C:\documents\agenda" .
Here is what I have done:
uninstalled and reinstalled Psiwin 3 times.
uninstalled and reinstalled outlook
deleted and recreated agenda
Tried Sync without contacts
soft boot
Hard boot
Installed Psiwin on another machine with ME OS and it worked fine SO it's not The Revo
I suspect It may have something to do with the XP OS
Would any one happen to know how this problem can be resolved. Any help will be greatly apreciated.

You've done most of the things I would have suggested. It's not WinXP - I use it everyday for both my Mako and 5mx and have no problems.
What I would do is uninstall PsiWin one more time but this time use the PsiWin Registry cleaner to remove all traces of PsiWin since leftover bits in the Registry can cause this type of problem. Mick McC has this on his web site and it has been attached to several messages here lately so a search of this section should find the file - it's only about 7kB in size.
You can the reinstall PsiWin again but this time only set up a sync task for the Agenda. Have Agenda already open before you try to sync. If you still get the same error, write back and we'll see what else can be done.

Funny i had the same problem.
Unagle to open file : c:\document\agenda
I managed to get it working by saving my agenda file as another name, and then when you syncronise you must browse for that file rather than the agenda file usually in the documents folder.
I can't explain it and not sure why, but that was the only way i could get mine to work.
I seriosly battled for a couple of hours trying to get the damn thing to syncronise and only once i changed the name did it work.
I can't promise that it will work for you but you should give it a try
I would love to know if this solves your problem

Further more just to stipulate how to change the name of the agenda file, just do the following and allyour data will still remain.
Menu Key
tap- File
tap- More
tap- Save as..
Name file then tap OK
now you have a duplicate agenda with a differnt file name
Hope this makes sence

Something has to be running on your PC that is making PsiWin think it can't open the file. Go to Google and search fro a freeware program called EndItAll. Download and install. Run EndItAll BEFORE you connect your Psion to your PC. Have it close down everything not needed to keep Windows running. Then, connect your Psion and try synchronizing your agenda file again. No one has ever had this much trouble trying to sync just the Agenda file, especially under WinXP, so there has to be something different on your machine that's causing the hangup.

OK. Here is what I did:
Uninstalled Psiwin, Ran Newclean.inf to clean the registry files. Rebooted my PC. Reinstalled the Psiwin AGAIN. Ran EndItAll software and closed all programs that I was allowed to close without messing up windows XP.
Ran Psiwin. Still got the same error.
Here are an observation that I made though:
When The agenda file on REVO is closed within 2 seconds I get the error, but when the Agenda is open it takes longer about 5 seconds for the error to come up. I do not know if that is significant in any way or not but non the less here it is.
BTW. I really appreciate all the time that every one who is replying to my post is puting in here.
Thank you

Well, you've got to be the unluckiest guy in the world to not have this work after trying so many things. Here's another long shot. Go to the Today View, Preferences. Make sure that the correct Agenda file is properly shown. Untick the Keep File Open option and then try syncing again. I seem to recall an occasional problem with Revos if the incorrect Agenda file is specified in the Today view and the Keep File Open option was ticked.

Checked that too, settings are correct and the Keep File Open is unchecked.
Thank you

Well, my friend, you've run me out of ideas. There's no reason that this shouldn't work on WinXP since it works for me and many others. I can't help but feel there's something simple that we're both overlooking but I just don't know what it is. .

Hi Akhaze!
I came across this PDF file on the Psionet SA website with regards to syncronising trouble shooting.
I noticed that there were a couple of things we missed out which help alleviate your problems like Tidy/archive and a couple of other good pointers.
Theres alot of reading here, but i would go through it systematically- Hope it solves your problem
