I bought a S360 a couple of months back and it has been functioning well. I have accidently allowed the battery to discharge fully. Now my Clie will not power on. I have tried recharging for several hours with no result. Any suggestions? Can I replace the battery myself if it is dead?

does your s360 turn on if you have the power cable plugged into it and a wall outlet? i know that when i bought mine, it didn't have a "full" charge until it charged for like 4-5 hours straight, but i could turn it on after only being plugged in for like 10 minutes.

if it turns on when plugged in, this means your battery is the culprit, if it doesn't turn on when plugged in, this means you have other problems.

i'm a little unclear on what you meant to say there. does your clie turn on when plugged in with the power/recharge cable or doesn't it?

Palm recommends placing the unit in the charger/cradle and doing a soft reset then letting the unit charge for 3 to 4 hours.
I hope this helps.

PS: DO NOT let the connection be broken during the reset!
