Active Sync for dual partnership

Here's one I haven't seen yet - I'm using my Viewsonic PDA as a conduit between my work and home computers. Have established the dual partnership through ActiveSync, so that I keep both computers up to date for calendar, contacts, etc. Only problem is with tasks.

I've tried every reasonable combination of settings for tasks so that tasks marked completed are accurately reflected on both computers, and then removed from the PDA. Can't find a way to do it.
- If I set tasks to synchronize all tasks, the completed tasks remain marked complete on the PDA forever (or until I delete them from one of the systems).
- If I set tasks to synchronize only incomplete tasks, then tasks marked complete on one of the main computers aren't reflected on the PDA, and it shows as an active task still on the PDA.
- There's also another option which allows me to sync a set number of weeks of past active tasks and all future active tasks, but since I use my task list for both dated and undated tasks, that one looks like it will lose all undated tasks.

I'm pretty certain this can be done, but wonder if someone has figured out the magic combination. Thanks...
