I have an E-125. I have an Hwlt Pkard. Win 98 second editon system with plenty of ram and rom. Downloaded (twice) activesync 3.6 to my computer. Launched to install. At last moment tells me I need: secur32.dll and snmpapi.dll asking for Win 98 SEdition cd. I insert correct CD, hit go and it says it can't find the drivers on the CD. It also then tells me it needs TCP/IP protocol installed - sends me to Network to install TCP/IP protocol. I know it is installed already for my telephone connections but still I try to install but I was not successful or there were no visible results because when I went back to install activesync again I was at a full circle, starting all over again. Dll files missing etc. Don't know what to do. Hope someone has an idea.

Thanks to all

Thomas

There are others with active sync problems in the Win CE section below - there are some possible solutions there.

Newer is not necesarily better. This is all the more apprpriate when it comes to m$oft.

Switch back to ActiveSynch 3.1 & your problems will disappear. I know I have tried them all.

Try the following site for download.

Hope this helps.
