backplate replacement on H330

A crack developed on backplate of my H330 and it will not be covered under warranty. Bought it in June of 2001. Anybody had experience replacing the original backplate with the ones from Gethightech.com? How much soldering? Their literature says they will not supply instructions. Sure would appreciate some feedback so I can possibly save $85 for the exchange with Handera. Or has anyone got other solutions (besides superglue)?

Hope you are checking these forums. I do too have a cracked backplate, where the top screw is on by the stylus holder. Checked that website you mentioned but do not see any backplate. THere is nothing to solder, just take out the PLASTIC back out by unscrewing the 4 available screws, put in the new replacement. If you find out where they sell them I will 100% appreciate it!

My apology for being so late in answering. I checked the site and you are right....the backplate is no longer available on their site. Looks like superglue for me.
