I bought a Palm IIIc that was made for the Japanese market. I've had it for about a week now and it works great. All apps are in english. I just have one question. On the left side of the screen at the bottom, between the "home"icon and the graffitti area there are four square "buttons". There are not really buttons, but places to tap with the stylus. The words are in Japanese and I have no idea what they are for. I've looked in the English manual and can not find those buttons on the English version of the IIIC. What gives?

just something, as far as i now the japanese language has more characters then englisch, perhaps it was used as some kind of shift function while using the graffiti area (you could of course try installing japanese software to try it out). if that's not it i just don't know

The bottom icon is to turn on the keyboard/numeric display when you are in the address book, etc. I still don't know what the other three are.
