I seem to be having trouble with my network. I have a Sharp Mobilion H/PC pro with a 3Com Wi/Fi card and a 3Com Access Point 2000 connected to my Netgear Cable/DSL Router.
I can lease an IP just fine and surf the internet wirelessly anywhere in the house... that's great, but I can't make my 2000 Desktop and my H/PC talk to each other. I've tried VNC I've tried FTP I've tried Http and the mobile unit won't recognize the IP of my desktop... I can at least pint the IP of the moble unit from the desktop but nothing more than that. Pinging back the other way is fruitless... I can connect to the Router and the access point via Http on my mobile device... Other systems on my network have had no problems talking to one another in the past...
Any clue what magical fix I can remedy this with? whatever insight anyone might be able to lend would be greatly appriciated...
