No. If the files don't show up on the Revo then they're gone - there's no non-volitile memory that the files would saved to. Why did you have to do a soft reset? Normally, this will never erase data unles you had to reset due to an errant program, which can sometimes cause problems. Before doing any kind of reset, you should always try to close the file using the system screen or SHIFT-CTRL-FN-K, which will usually kill all running apllications, including ones that have hung.

And, of course, you should always have a recent backup. Too late for that now but an excellent lesson for the future.:(

Jim:

Thank you for your response. I did a soft reset because the "battery problem". My (third) revo was "dead". Now is working (without my files...!!!)

It is a good habit to backup whenever:

- You do a soft reset (in the rare case EPOC forces a hard reset due to major memory corruption).

- You change the batteries (not applicable to the Revo:)

- You leave it for a long time, such as holiday (esp. applicable to the Revo:)

- In fact, just backup whenever you do something unusual, if not actually at regular intervals!

My problem is the lacking of support for the MAC. I'm using OS X and there is no sofware solution to connect & backup my Psion. Still waiting...
