I would install it also on my Psion5. Thanks & Servus Walter netBookBabe 09-11-2002, 02:36 PM I'm assuming by "notebook" you are referring to your Psion netBook? The Epoc jotter application (also on the 5mx) is not, as far as I know, available to be used on an S5 Classic, unless someone else knows some clever trickery. However, you can do a pretty good and very simple simulation of it by using the S5's "Data" app. Create a new file, (call it "Jotter" perhaps? ;) ) with just one single label of the "memo" type - this gives you a text field of unlimited length. You will find it very similar in use to the netBook's jotter. Hope that helps Julie WolfUK 09-11-2002, 05:53 PM If you do have a netBook and the CD that came with it then you might be able to run the Jotter application that comes on that on your Psion 5. It should install as a normal SIS files does. netBookBabe 09-11-2002, 06:32 PM Simon, that's pretty much what I thought, but I've tried it before, and I just gave it another go now, but sadly to no avail. It appears to install, but my S5 doesn't recognise the file. I guess ER3 just doesn't support that app? Shame. Be interested to see if anyone else can make it work. Julie walterg 09-12-2002, 10:22 AM I followed Julie's advise. It works! :D walter netBookBabe 09-12-2002, 02:10 PM Excellent, Walter. Happy jotting! :D Julie dukibean 09-13-2002, 07:31 AM I notice that the date bug still persists in Jotter. . . netBookBabe 09-13-2002, 07:38 AM Date bug? I guessed I missed something  Julie dukibean 09-13-2002, 07:48 AM Yeah, every single entry is given the current date. netBookBabe 09-13-2002, 07:55 AM Hmmm, interesting! I never noticed that, because I principally use Jotter on my MC218, rather than the netBook, and that certainly does not have the problem. Julie pro2type 09-13-2002, 05:21 PM Sounds strange that the jotter datebug isnt around on the MC. Its certainly there on the 5mx, and is not a Netbook thing. netBookBabe 09-13-2002, 05:43 PM How curious! I've just copied my jotter file from the MC218 to the netBook, and yes, I see the problem. Meanwhile, the MC continues to display the correct dates. I'm off to compare notes with a friend of mine who also owns both MC and netBook. Julie pro2type 09-14-2002, 04:04 AM The Sweedes made some changes when they made the MC218, and was complaining over lack off quality in especially Psiwin. So they actually did fix the datebug too. dukibean 09-14-2002, 11:06 AM I have quite an early version of the 5mx 1.05(250) and there is no Jotter date bug . . . jpop 09-16-2002, 10:51 PM My 5mx has 1.05 (252) and the dates are different for each entry (no jotter bug). That is a later version than dukibean's post indicated. My Revo (Mako) is version 1.06 (390) and has no jotter bug. netBook is version 1.05(254) and HAS the bug. PDA Street
