Need Help: 710c flashed wont sync with Windows ME

I just got a 710c. It has been flashed to become a 760c. I am not sure if this was done at Sony or with the hack.

Install goes fine with Palm Desktop 4.0.1 downloaded from Sony.

Hotsync appears to be working fine, but the apps do not sync.

To add insult to injury, during hotsync any entries made on the desktop are DELETED!

Can anyone give me any more help than the top tier of Sony Tech support who recommended reloading my OS?

Sounds like your hotsync settings are not to your liking.

To see right click on the hotsync icon in your tray. Then select custom.

There you will see each conduit that controls the sync process for the different components. Usually they will be set to "Synchronize the files".
But there are other option like "Do Nothing", "Handheld overwrites Desktop" and "Desktop overwrites Handheld".

Make sure it's not set for "handheld overwrites desktop", I havn't had any problems like what you're experiencing, that might help with the "insult to ingury" part of your problem.

I have tried all the different settings on the conduits, and that is not the problem...

One other thing, what is the user name on the custom dialog.

does this match the user name on your hand held?
