Well it all depends. ypur standard computer file, were talking abut 2 mins of standard video is about 5-10 megs. But, what you can do is compression. This is mainy used when you rip a dvd and want to put it on your pda. this is the best way to get video on your pda, basically you can take any dvd, burn it on to you hard drrive, and then compress it to be put on your ipaq. This process will take a long time, and will take aup about 5 gigs or more of harddrive spcae (which you will deleate later) then you will probably have a lot of trouble with it, I did it about 5 times before it worked. but in the end Im sure that you will be very happy with your result, i was able to get lord of the rings split into 2 equal parts of 200 megs each. That is about 3 1/2 hours of video in just about 400 megs, or about 1 meg a minute. This isgreat for when you want to go and watch movies on the bus. I use a 3850 and the playback was great, Im sure that on a 3900 it will be even better, so Im sure that you will have fun.

Ok, well the site that will show you how to do it the bestway is

I hope that this helps, I know that this is a little more then you expected.... but evcer sicnmce I firgured out a good way of doing this I have bneen wanting to tell others... Oh and below is a file listing of media types and hom much space they take up

MPEG-1- this is the simplest media form and is what you want to have on your pda.

MPEG-4- good luck, I havent been able to play them

DIVX- Gret little files, however need to use a a divx player, same as you do for MPEG-1
