I just got my TT yesterday. I'm overwhelmed by the amount of programs and add-on's you can load.

What do you use your TT for most?

I primarily bought it for addresses/email/phone #'s, To-do lists, workout schedule, meetings and id/password management. We will be using Lotus notes soon (currently using Groupwise) so I imagine that email will be next along with IM'ing and web surfing.

I'm curious if anyone developed a plugin for ORACLE documentation or loading SQL files for reference. I do Oracle DBA work for a living. I wanted to have all my programs and scripts on hand.

Any good ideas what else I can you do with the TT?
Is there a good GPS plugin?

Thanks.

I've had my T|T about 3 weeks now. I upgraded from a HS Visor Prism.

The thing I do most on it is read scriptures using MarkMyScriptures. The Hi-Res screen makes reading much easier on my eyes. I really like the small size and take it to church instead of my scriptures.

A few of the other things I use it for are English-Mandarin dictionary, English-English dictionary, Mapopolis maps and I have a few(17) games on it.

I use PocketTunes for a few mp3's and think it sounds pretty good (I have a good mp3 player already) and PhotoBase for a few pictures.

Thanks for the quick reply!!

Do you know how to sync Hotmail email addresses with the TT?

you mentioned lotus notes...there's EasySync developed by Lotus that installs conduits on your desktop so that you can sync your notes email, address book, todos, journal to T|T. there'll be a mail app installed on the T|T; address book and todo will sync with the native app, journal will sync with the native memo pad.

also, the general consensus (at least in this forum) is that Kinoma player provides the best movie player app so far.

Its called Yinhan, i also use it when i forget words. The good part about this is that it runs completely off vfs so you can just have the program and the database on the card.

Yinhan by Abstract R&D (http://abstractrd.home.attbi.com/#Yinghan)

Great, thanks, I'll give it a look. Does the site have pinyin-English ?

The English-Mardarin dictionary I use is Evolutionary Dictionary v3.1.1. It has pinyin with tone inflection info. It also has phrases.

I have their English-Spanish dictionary too. It's VFS.

It can be found at http://www.evolutionary.net

Another one I like is called Flash (Flashcards for Practical Chinese Reader v2.21 - books I - III) by Eric Youngdale. It's not VFS. It can be found at http://www.andante.org/chinese_pilot.html

I think both of these are using the Wade-Giles pinyin romanization system.

What I'd like to find is a good E-M dictionary using the Yale pinyin.

I forgot to mention neither of the E-M apps I use need to have a Chinese OS installed, such as CJKOS.

To help clarify: The apps I use above DO NOT need a Chinese OS. The 1st does not show Chinese characters. The Flash card one does show characters, but if you use one of the bigger font sizes included, it doesn't need a Chinese OS like CJKOS.

Get ISilo. Your Oracle HTML documentation can probably be loaded up into that.

A great site for Palm software is http://www.palmgear.com
You can find the latest software here.
Also try http://www.freewarepalm.com, this has some nice things as well.

Main things you can look for is a nice launcher (i.e. zlauncher, launcherx, megalauncher, silverscreen), a program to store secret data (splashdata, xforcer or something like that).

There is a thread on this board about what the best software for palm is (not the best, but what people use the most).

let me search a bit...
