 Just got my first PDA (VisorPro) and downloaded some PDA software for recording my medical history, but they only had data entry from the PDA, unlike the applications that came on PDA with palm desktop where you can enter data on the computer and HotSync to the PDA. Are all PDA software programs only made to use on the PDA without any link to a similar destop application? If not, how do you know which PDA programs have that ability?

There are programs that do have the ability to sync themselves (f.i. handstory) most however don't (especially those tiny programs). you probably should look if there's an option to export it, or to view it on your desktop after sending the pdb (or whatever it stores your data in) with a program capable of doing so.
