I just recently bought a Bridge that would allow me to use my palmIII accesories with my m130. Everything seems to function properly, except for PalmPix. Whenever I try to take a picture with my m130, I get a "Memory Allocation Error." Can someone help me out? Is this a problem with my software?

I had similar problems trying to use "the bridge" with my M130 and palm IIIxe palmpix. I think the software might be slightly different for the M130 (M5XX) series. You might go to Kodak's website and download the software version for the M5XX. I ended up coming across an "M5XX series palmpix and was able to use it since it connects fairly good to the M130 palm. I also had to change to the M5XX software version since the IIIXE version would notwork properly.
I also found out that "the Bridge" would not work properly with my IIIXE modem. I guess there is some slight differences on how the connections for the modem are set up for the M130 series.
Have Fun ! :)

Can you still get a Palmpix? If so, where, how much, are they any good?

Kodak has discontinued making the Palmpix but you might find some stores still have a few. Other places to look are ebay or local pawnshops in your area.
As far as quality..... they work good with good lighting and a steady hand. The version for the palm M5xx series has slightly more resolution (800x600) and some manual adjustments relating to focus range. It also has a close-up setting. The version for the palm III series is 640x480 and has it's own batteries while the 5xx version relies on the palm's internal battery for power. I've had good luck with both versions. They're not as good as a normal digital camera but I don't like carrying around a regular camera. The technology has improved so much that you can now get very small digital cameras (shirt pocket size) that will do just as good for around $100.
As far as cost....I paid $79 new for my palm III palmpix. I got my M5xx one through a trade deal with a friend.
Have fun :)

The Staples stores here in Florida have recently been selling there Palm III accessories at a fair discount. I bought a PalmPix for a friend's IIIxe for $15.00. They have the modems for $19.00.
Office Depot did their house cleaning months age and with lower prices.

PS: As regards the quality of the image on the PalmPix for the III series....fair. The PalmPix for the 5xx series, Fair. It’s fun for a while and is convenient. You are not likely to take any prize-winning photographs with a PalmPix, but you might just sneak that shot of the boss picking his nose.
