OK, two questions, only one of which really applies to my TT, but I'll throw the 2nd in just to see as many here use Bluetooth and I've seen t68i references a lot...

I have a TT and a t68i. OK, so I have a GPRS connection through the phone, and I disconnect, everything is fine the next time I connect. However, if I turn the TT "off" with the GPRS connection still active, I get a 5 second or so delay while (I assume) it is disconnecting the GPRS connection. However, the next time I try to use the GPRS (or anything bluetooth), I have to add the device again.

I did search the boards a bit, and have tried pairing the phone/TT different ways, but to no avail. I haven't seen anyone where the connection works probably 99% of the time, but if I ever turn the TT off w/o closing the GPRS connection, BT freaks out 100% of the time.

(No "'Doctor it hurts when I do that' - 'don't do that'" type answers needed ;) )

OK, Question 2: Anyone got a Jabra Freespeak (BT200 I think) headset with a t68i? How do you record voice commands consistently with the headset? I can seemingly crash my phone (requiring a reboot by removing the battery) every time I try if I do it just right. I've recorded most of the names I need to, but it's mostly a matter of luck if it works instead of crashes. Advice?

I have TT & T68i. I use diallup instead of GPRS but I think Bluetooth is the issue. I get the delay in switching off while the call is dropped, so I guess that's in common with GPRS too.

I've also had the loss of pairing problem as have lots of others if you search the forums. Switching the T68i off and on again seems to make it work again without having to delete and add trusted devices!

Sounds like 'the Microsoft fix' will work for both your problems until someone comes up with a better one?

honestly, that's one I hadn't tried. I'll try that later today. Thanks.

Just a suggestion ... I've met with Pride of Lions a few times in the past months and he has been using a T68i with his TT. He is on these boards, although I have not seen him post lately. (He may be away on assignment as his job has him traveling.) perhaps you could send him a PM or an email via this board and see if he has experienced the same situation as yours?

Pls give me an update what "The Microsoft Fix" is...? Just the hard reset (Ctrl+Alt+Del)??

I've got a similar problem with my 6310i (a bit off topic perhaps...). Espesially in AvantGo when I "modemsync" using GPRS and bluetooth. After a while syncing it hangs, forcing me to delete connection both on TT an phone - remove battery from phone - soft reset my TT, and pair again.

Seems like this problem is more frequent when it is a lot of pages that needs sync.
Perhaps there is a timeout problem in this....?

The reference to the Microsoft Fix was to turn it off and turn it on again!

Nothing more complex than that. Just a natural workaround.

I had a similar problem with an Ericsson 520 (like an old T68) & found that "the Microsoft Fix" worked for me. You can set both VersaMail and WebPro to automatically disconnect on exit; I found that preventrd the problem for me.

Yeah, well, my problem has been (oddly enough) that I can't seem to break it now. It just keeps working. I literally have tried it a dozen times since posting the question. Weird.

However, I appreciate the feedback. As soon as it happens next (believe me, it will), I'll try turning the phone off (MS-ing it :) ). I'm not sure the "disconnect on exit" is something I want. I happen to like switching between mail and web w/o having to reconnect.

Still haven't figured out the headset though... :(
