AnswerDude 03-18-2003, 11:57 AM PocketMac will let you sync directly with the Mac. http://www.pocketmac.net/ You can also use Virtual PC and run Windows's Activesync inside the Mac as well. http://www.connectix.com/products/vpc6m.html mtruebig 03-18-2003, 12:27 PM Be careful with pocketmac. I have to admit that I've had problems with pocketmac. It nearly wiped out the harddrive and I had to reinstall OS Xon my company's computer becuase I synced just once. I've been following MarkSpace's "The Missing Sync" and waiting for that to come out to try it. Take a look at it here: http://www.markspace.com/pocketpcpreview.html dwinget 03-20-2003, 01:17 AM Palm devices come with Macintosh synchronizing software. In addition, they can sync with Linux workstations. I recently traded in my iPAQ because of the limited support of Pocket PC devices on non-Microsoft platforms. I needed to synchronize with GroupWise. Additionally, my workplace is looking at other desktop operating systems such as Linux and Macintosh OS X. Intellisync, the only solution available for synching a Pocket PC with GroupWise, kept crashing, and it mapped the fields wrong. Home addresses showed up as work addresses. Also, the USB device driver for my iPAQ 3970 was not compatible with Intellisync. It would only work after I upgraded the USB driver. However, Intellisync would revert the desktop back to the old driver and I would be faced with the same problem again. If your staff needs to synchronize with any non-Windows or non-Microsoft platform, I think you should seriously consider getting a Palm brand device or else you may end up providing an enormous amount of time and energy providing support. You might want to test one or two devices before you make a bulk purchase. This way, you will know what you are getting yourself into. dwinget 03-20-2003, 07:58 AM Here is another thread you might be interested in reading: http://www.pdastreet.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=14864 cwphoto 03-21-2003, 01:48 AM Originally posted by mtruebig Be careful with pocketmac.
