how to delete 4000 emails

I make the mistake of syncing my new i330 with outlook containing 10000 email msgs. I now have about 4K of them in the phone and cannot figure out how to delete them except one by one. I'd even be happy of there was a "delete everything in the flash memory even the configuration data" button. Any ideas? I am new to palm.

If you don't own a file manager app such as McFile, myWorkbench or Filez now is the time. With the file manager look in the files in RAM for a file named "MailDB" and delete it.

I had the same problem when I sync with outlook. What I ended up doing was: 1) In Outlook, I created a new folder (FILE, FOLDERS, NEW FOLDER) and name it whatever you want. 2) I MOVED all my Inbox email to this new folder. 3) Now that my Outlook inbox is EMPTY, I sync my I330 which removed all my email from the I330. 4) Changed my sync settings not to do anything with email. 5) Moved my email back to the inbox in Outlook. It was very fast and easy.

I hope I explained it well enough. You can do the same thing by exporting and importing...but I find the above way to be faster and easier.
