I bought the e740 last night at Best Buy $500 (wh00t!). Since then I had to hard reset it three times.
Here's the gist of it.
I LIKE avantgo, I would like to use avantgo more often, however avantgo has yet to update my channel listings. I have tried to set up avantgo wireless. IE crashed, further clicking on the ie icon results in nothing happening. I didn't know how to soft reboot at that time, but a hard reboot did me just fine. Ie works again. But for the life of me I can not get avantgo to work. I'm willing to give the thing until this weekend. But if not I'll go down to an e310 or an Ipaq. i really want to like this thing, however I cannot seem to get the bugger to work right.
Please help me, I want to get Avantgo to run with the channels I selected. I want to enable wireless syncing w/ my laptop via an adhoc network. I want to sing at the top of my lungs ;) . I want to be able to surf at home on my wifi connection, I want to surf at school on thier wifi connection.
I would love to have Avantgo wireless enabled, but it seems whenever I try to run avant go IE crashes nastily. Mayhaps a soft reboot will fix it, and next time it happens I'll try it first. But my hopes aren't up.
The wifi works at home if I have the settings set to Internet and can browse the intraweb. However I cannot do the same at school. The seetings it asked for was the MAC Address, which I found, and the serial # whihc I entered in as 00000 where would I find a REAL serial # for my e740? Please, I want to love this thing, but right now I'm thinking about taking it back and getting something like an Ipaq or an e310
