This new format is confusing and discourages discussion.
It used to be that you could go to threads which were for your particular PDA. Instead we're all bunched together in chatroom style. I hate it!
Where'd our discussions go? I had posted some replies and now the whole thing seems to have disappeared. Last week it was a wonderful resource and ZAP! it's all been replaced with a maze that is useless.
I must say that I was very disappointed with the moderation of the forums before. Now, with every message deleted and having to register AGAIN, without warning, I can say www.pdalive.com has me forever. Bye palmbvld.com, can't say that I'll miss you.

What happened?
1. was sent an email informing me that there was a reply to a post i put up yesterday and sent the link to it.
2. the link brought me to a completely unrecognizable page with no mention of my post.
3. i actually had to register again since the new system didn't recognise my login.
4. it's been 30 minutes and i still can'y find my thread let alone the resonse to my question which is the only reason i'm here in the first place!!
COULD THE NEW FORUM BE ANY WORSE??????????

After posting my original message, I wondered if I'd been unduly harsh. But the response of others would indicate that I'm not alone in my frustration with the new system. Like sgoncalves I was looking following responses to threads which were posted a few days ago, and now they've disappeared.
I also had to re-register completely because I wasn't "known". That is kind of an insult to someone who has been a loyal follower of the Palmblvd bulletin boards on a regular basis.
I think I'll try out pdlive.com which was mentioned by one of the folks.
They sure have messed up a good thing. It used to be the perfect place to post a question and know that the folks answering were familiar with your model of pda.
Certainly doesn't seem like progress!!

Well PDA Street, if you're objective in changing the forums was to drive away all your dedicated users, looks like you've succeeded.
So long for n...

I just joined becase google showed a thread based system that looked like it had all the answers to my questions. Instead, I find this user interface that is totally useless except to post this comment in hopes that it ads to the list of frustrated people, and perhaps the people who run this site will see what they've done and scramble to get something useable back before they lose everyone. I have seen other sites that use software like this and I imagine they will be out of business soon along with the people who write the software. Clearly, people hate it.

Cripes! Where did all the good information go! BRING BACK THE OLD BOARDS.
Must bring back catagories soon!
 It's incomprehensible that the owners would do this to an apparently useful forum. It was the only place I could find in which I could get information specifically about my Clie PEG S-360. Now I'd have to wade through all the general postings?! Not likely. Bye; see you again if you decide to use some common sense in structuring this forum. (I hope whoever's idea this was gets canned)

I was just about to post a follow-up having
replaced the supercapacitor in my M105
after gleaning the info from these pages.
Now I can't even find the original post,
am I glad I did my search yesterday and not today!
Let's hope the organisers see sense and
include all the old threads, or it's bye-bye
from me as well after a mere 10 minutes of
being a member....

Well the only thing PDAstreet can do to make this forum better is to have threads for each handheld and one for games, developers, etc...
I don't understand why they made this board so crappy. They could have at least but the seperate PDA threads like I said and at least left the old forums for browsing for a while...
I hate changes!

I could not agree more with everybody in this thread.
This used to be a great board, and I have been using it often both in the role of "questioner"and "answerer". Now everything has been changed for no obvious reason.
As I suppose, that asking for return of the good old times is hopeless, I can only say, that I am convinced, that the usefulnes of this board has gone, and dedicated PDA-users have to go elsewhere.
I also find it extremely bad politics, that all old participants seem to have been just eliminated! I had to re-enlist to be able here to inform the webmasters, that this site has been reduced to junk!
I have looked at the other site mentioned above; but it seems to be just about the same, so I will keep on searching for some better source of information - if there is one?

My post "It's the pits" is the one that got this discussion going and I'm still complaining!!!
Someone mentioned www.pdalive.com I checked it out and the site has a bulletin board/discussion area exactly like this one so it's NO solution.
I hope someone discovers a place like the old www.palmblvd.com where we can go to ask about specific pdas. It was such a useful resource. If anyone finds such a place, please let me know. (And I'm sure there'll be a whole stream of folks flocking to such a site!)
