I've been scratching around for a while looking for a base64/MIME encoder/decoder to run on the Psion, without success. Does anyone know if such a beast exists (or should Itake a wire brush to my rusty programming skills and try to write one?)?
Thanks in advance

As the EPOC Email application MIME encodes / decodes, why would you want a separate program for this? In the Email menus:
"Tools > Account settings > (account name)", tap the 'Advanced' button and check the box for "Use MIME encoding".
On the other hand, if you are using a Series 3 machine, I still have a copy of Daniel Pfund's "DP MIME", but it only decodes :)

Hi Mike
Yes, it does seem rather perverse - the search for a separate base64/MIME decoder was triggered by an oddity which Ihad when Itried downloading an email with an HTMLattachment, using XJMail. Kawabe-san has responded to the post which Iput on the internet forum, asking for more details on the problem with XJMail; he told me that XJMail should deal with base64 encoded attachments, so this may turn out to be a non-problem after all.
BTW, I use a 5mX and a Series 7 (the latter for my email and web browsing at home), so your kind offer of the Series 3 decoder is unnecessary, thanks.
Ithink I may well turn to trying to do a base64 codec programme as an intellectual exercise once Iretire; a long time ago Iwas into assembly language hacking for the 8085 - I maintained the operating system for a small PABX, which used an 8085 as the control processor for a switch with 24 exchange lines and 120 extensions - but for the past 12 years or more I've been working in standards for mobile phones, so I'm out of practice. Only a bit more than 7 months to go, then I should have the time to spend on it!
Cheers
