Hi
I got the files to Photo5 lying on my harddrive. But I cant for the life of me make it work on my psion Netbook... Anyone know what's wrong. cant find anywhere on the net for downloading a more recent or up to date version...
I would really apreciate some feedback on this subject as I remember that it was quite excellent.

God...Photo5. I remember that software on my old Series 5. I don't think this is being developed any more. It was originally created for the Series 5 (ER3) and you needed a registered copy of MBMView for it to work. When I upgraded to my 5mx, it wouldn't work at all as it was not compatible with the newer ER5 OS.
I am not sure if they ever got around to upgrading it for the ER5 platfrom. It was created by Mat Ripley for Palmscape.com although all their titles now exist on pocketiq.com with the exception of Photo5, of course. I can only assume that it never did get that upgrade, but you can always ask them.
As far as downloads go, I did find this working link on a Russian website http://mypsion.ru/files/photo5v31s.zip but not sure if the application will be in English or not. This seems to be version 3.10 which was the last version I ever had.
I think this might be a bit of a no brainer then as v3.10 was not compatible with ER5 (i.e. your netBook) and if you have not already done so, you definitely need MBMView installed and registrered before it will work on a Series 5.
If you need any other info, just post it here.
Kind Regards
Simon

Hi
Sad to hear that it only works for the series 5 classic. I happened to find the installation files for Photo5 on an old CD the other day so the files aren't a problem. I'll send a mail to pocketiq.com and hear what they have to say about an eventual update ;)
