MikeMcC 03-23-2003, 04:22 PM Have you installed any version of "PsiWin", which is the connectivity software for transferring files, converting, backing up etc.? Normally with Windows XP, you require the latest version of PsiWin - 2.3.3 - which can be downloaded from www.psion.com/downloads/pc/psiwin2/233/english.exe but be aware that it is a large download if you don't have a fast connection - 25 Mbytes . The alternative would be to use PsiWin 1.1 which is the original Series 3 software. A copy of this can be downloaded from the "Series 3" page of my website, but this will not provide up-to-date file convertors if that is an important requirement. 77353117 03-23-2003, 05:53 PM I have installed psiwin 2.3 but when it attempts to connect, it says 'no psion detected' Conkers 03-23-2003, 06:15 PM Have you checked that the Psion link is open (press Psion + L)? If it is, I had the same problem but found if I set the PC to check Com1 and Com2, it found my Psion easily. Having said that I'm using Win98SE not XP, but I am using PsiWin2.3.3. Hope this helps Ian MikeMcC 03-24-2003, 01:29 AM As Ian suggests, make sure that the 'Link' has been enabled. I would also suggest that, in PsiWin 'properties', only the COM port the 3Link is connected to should be enabled and the speed should be set to 19200 baud. If you still have problems, try connecting with Comms in the 3a and Hyperterminal in the PC, just to be sure they are actually talking to each other. With 3Link plugged in, Comms can be installed to the System screen from drive 'C'. Instructions for connecting this way are on the "General Info" page of my website. PDA Street
