How to delete system password on I300??

I just bought an I300 from ebay, and i recieved it in great working condition, with just one problem: the sysem password is still in place. this is obviously a big problem because it means that i can't hotsync, because it prompts me for the password every time i try to sync it...

so heres my question, how do i get rid of the password?

i hotsync via IR on my laptop, so i can't use palm password cracker, and i can't use forgetpass either, because you need to hotsync in order to install it, and it can't be beamed from one unit to another. A hard reset doen't do it either, unless i'm doing it wrong, because i've tried that too. Thanks for the help!!

Do mean a password on your laptop when you try to
hotsync? If that's the case your password is your sprint
account password. If not you should do a hard reset on your phone. You'll have to restore all your programs back to your phone. You do have a sprintpcs account, right?

If its the handheld password you are trying to reset, and not the palm desktop, then all you have to do is reset it through Security.

goto Security. Click on Password. It will prompt you to enter your pw. Below that is a button: Lost Password. If you click on this, it will ask you if you want to reset your password. Note: If you do, you lose all private records on the hh. But, seeing as you just bought it, this shouldn't be a problem. Then you are able to enter a new pw into Security and should be all set.

The default password is the last 4 digits of your cell phone.
