Hi all,

Has anyone tried one of these cards in their Psion. They are apparently super quick but not sure if they are compatible with Psion machines.

They have the ability of writing at 4mbps as apposed to 1.5mbps for the normal (quick) SimpleTech cards. I enclose a link with the specs.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Kind Regards

Si

How strange, I made a posting and it didn't turn up here.

I'll try again. interesting site I look forward to seeing them in a high street store and testing one.

I note from the website the following:
Type I 256MB, 512MB
Type II 1GB

So the 1GB will only work in the netbook and 7 as the 5mx only takes type 1 I think it is.

No mention of price on that site so followed a link to an online store but could not get a price out of them either but did see this:

<<<<COMPACT FLASH
Superior performance.....write speeds of up to 3MB per second! ..... 100% compatibility assured. >>>>

So I guess if it didn't work you could send it back

So I guess if it didn't work you could send it back That rather depends on what they are assuring compatibility with:

- the official Compact Flash standard?

or

- Psion computers, some of which we know are very fussy about the CF cards they work with?
:)

Clove can get hold of the 256mb for £64 (+vat I think). They seem to think they will be compatible with the 7, netBook, 7book, etc but have yet to try one.
