The ZR5800 is designed for "Classic" CompuServe accounts, not CompuServe 2000 (AOL). Tell CompuServe you want a Classic account. They might ask "WHY do you want a CLASSIC account?!?" Say you have a non-Windows device that only works on a Classic account. Classic works fine on the Zaurus, and also on a Windows PC for dial-up internet access and email. You only have to use a "script" file to connect. That's no problem and totally simple to set up within Windows. Classic accounts can be enabled for "POP" email service (to be used by "Outlook" for example), and still remain useable with the Zaurus. Classic can be easily switched to CompuServe OLD MAIL email service, a text TERMINAL MODE email service (works with old Sharp Wizards like the OZ-9500). An alternative to Classic is to load "Z-M@il" software on the Zaurus. Z-M@il can access some (not all) POP email service providers (possibly Earthlink, and CS Classic for sure). If you already have a POP email account it's worth checking.

AT&T WorldNet (if that is what it is now) is worth checking. It might take some work to sort out if you can get a service package that works on the ZR-5800 or not. Your best bet would be to talk to someone in their Tech. Support group (not Sales). I remember one person saying they were thinking of reactivating AT&T service on their Z, maybe in this forum or a similar forum. But there were no posts following that as to if anyone out there is still using AT&T, or if that person ever actually got it to work.
