I am on the verge of buying an I330 and the Sprint PCS guy told me it had the universal port and all universal acc (IE car adapters, power cords, UT KEYBOARD, etc) would work with it. I can't make a commitment to the I330 without knowing Docs to go or Wordsmith with a full size keyboard will work with it. I do 8 hour depositions on my palm IIIC and need the same ability.
Does anyone know for sure? I have a tungsten and would like to consolidate with a combo unit. So I have all the cords, etc.

I'm not too sure how universal the serial port is on the i330. I do know that not all keyboards work with the phone. The ones that I know for a fact work with the i330 are SnapNType thumbboard and the one that is from Samsung themselves. However, I have heard not so good reports about the one from Samsung. I have read that some of the universal wireless keyboards are supposed to work. There is one, however, that I heard freezes the device even though it says it is compatible.
I am using Quickword and my thumbboard on my device and have not had any problems. I have not tried any other word processor programs.
I would recommend making a stop at smartphoneforums.com there are some pretty thorough threads about keyboards and such there.
But since you rely upon your device so much, the i330 might not be the best move, plenty of conflictions with programs and limited accessories.
By the way, do you know of many universal keyboards that are not wireless? I would rather a full size keyboard over a thumbboard.
