Tungsten SMS and Orange and GPRS

I have a Palm Tungsten and have been told by Orange that you can't send SMS messages using the Palm SMS software. Is this correct? I have to say I get a service error.

I have a Nokia 6310i

The funny thing is it will collect the messages from the phone but not send them. Has anyone managed this or is what Orange telling correct.

Maybe there's another way of doing this.......anyone?

I have been using

1.SMS
2.versamail
3.Web browsr pro for more than 3 months now and using it daily
through orange and T681
All wirelessly/bluetooth.

4.I do not have GPRS account with orange

Orange will charge the standard DATA (sms,email,web) rate depending on the contract package with orange.It is relatively cheaper altarnative for the same content than GPRS and i do off line (post surfing) to be more economical as well.
(7-10 pence per minute)
T68i and other DATA enable phone will do!

eg.

You can do the surfing for 2 minutes only and retreiving info that you have surf/download OFFLINE.
From the sites and download info as much as possible maxmally in 2 minutes and click disconnect
and retreiving at your leisure from the history>go from the web browser pro!


With SMS you can attach jpegs as well as music files too
Similary for the email Versamail on your TT
For the same price for data (text,sms,email, internet HTML)on orange Email will give you more content and info/attachment than SMS

Just download SMS update from palm web site
Palm >info>tungsten> update for SMS.phone link updater.Digitizer and audio patch from that site.
