Has anybody noticed their rechargeable palm (lithium ion?) battery begin to lose the ability to hold a charge over time?

Some times it seems like my battery will hold a charge for a week, sometimes only for a day or so. Obviously the amount of usage influences this, but over time, does the ability to hold a charge begin to degrade?

I have been told that doing a soft reset while the unit is in the cradle can help to restore the accuracy of the battery settings. Try this solution. It might help.

However, even though Lithium Ion batteries are not supposed to have memory problems, the fact of the matter is that the battery can begin to degrade over time. How old is the unit?

As djmangen points out the batteries do "degrade" over time. The metallic Lithium actually plates out and as such is no longer capable of maintaining a charge. Thus over time the capacity is reduced; less capacity less duration.
