Versamail -synchornize query

HI, I set yp an account in versamail which is supposed to get my mail from the server and download it to my palm so i can read it on my palm. the problem is, it seems to transfer to my palm only the messages i have already downloaded in outlook which have been marked undread and not those still in the server!

any settings i am missing out?

check for that synchronise only check box

and (i think) you should have one account for mail from outlook and one account for mail you check with your actual device, like when connected to a phone, etc

hmmm yes, it does say synchronize only, that is why i get mail from outlook, but not from the mail server. ergo, i have to download mail to outlook before i can transfer them to palm!

is your account an IMAP account?

In the synch--> versamail>configure accounts>account 's name settings

you can see if you scroll down the list

> direct IMAP connection to server

and

> direct POP connection to server.

Have you chosen one of those ? Or have you chosen

> Outlook Express or another e-mail program?

from what program should I see this? I use outlook ! Thanks!

on the bottom right of my Windows XP screen, the ICON for hotsynch.

Right click it and you can see custom,

go to Versamail and then choose change.....


then you can see a window that shows -

snchronize active accounts and also Do Nothing.

You can also see - Configure Accounts. In there you can find your accounts settings.

you can see if you scroll down the list, Not selected, Eudora5.0 or higher, Microsoft Outlook Express etc etc... and further down

> direct IMAP connection to server

and

> direct POP connection to server.

It depends on what kind of account you have.

I have an IMAP account so I choose

direct IMAP connection to server


I can change my settings on my T-T and dial directly, using my T-68 and get my mail that way.

or I can put the T-T on the cradle and synch with my IMAP server that way.

What kind of account do you have?

Pop or IMAP?

i think what i want to di is to get mail to my palm from the cradle without having to turn on microsoft outlook:)

use the direct imap or pop account in versamail on the device to get your mail when you sync or with a connection.
