I am trying to use a Sandisk CF Flash card in a NEC 780 but it keeps looking for a driver and won't recognize it. Any suggestions?

You shouldn't need a driver. -Anthony amt1018 11-10-2003, 03:16 PM Maybe someone will read this, but I have just purchased a SanDisk 256MB CF for my 780 and it works fine - albeit I need to keep it plugged in (as so my batteries won't drain in a minute). Maybe it's because of the large size (256MB); maybe a smaller (64MB) wouldn't do that? -Aaron ohioluddite 11-10-2003, 04:57 PM The card itself requires very close to no power when not being accessed and not a lot more when it is being accessed. If your 780 has problems with it, sounds like your battery isn't very stout anymore. The power drain is likely the extra circuitry in the handheld once it recognizes a card is installed. seraph2048 11-10-2003, 07:27 PM it seems like your 780 has trouble. I have my 770 and use it with the 256MB CF card and works for hours all the time. :) I'll trade your 780 with your CF card for my 770 with CF card if you want. :D L Guyturf 11-10-2003, 08:55 PM I have a 780 running a 256 meg card for documents and a 128 for programs. I usually run 4-5 hours between charges with both cards installed in and using them, so it sounds like your battery is weak. Try another battery or a double a adapter and see what happens.
