I know this an often answered question, but please have mercy. I have had this thing for a year and a half, and have NEVER been able to use these 2 functions.
I have loaded a picture and an mp3 file on my MS, but cant get PGPocket or Audio Player to open them. Any help would be most appreciated.

The MP3 file must be placed in the PALM/PROGRAMS/MSAUDIO directory. It has to be in a format AudioPlayer will recognize also. I use a recording setting of 44.1 kHz, 128 kbps. The Picture file depends on which format it is in as to where to put it. If it is in JPG format it goes in the DCIM/100MSDCF directory. PictureGear Lite puts the file in the PALM/PROGRAMS/PICTUREGEAR directory as a PGP file.

I tried putting jpg images in the /DCIM/100MSDCF folder and viewing them with pgpocket... and my clie fatal errored. this was with jpgs not from my camera. I was able to view them with jpgview though. I can view my sony digital camera pictures in that DIR. but you have to do two steps to see them right... first view, then enhance.
I have PGPocket and love jpgview for this reason...
BTW. I have somehow lost the ability to play MP3s. I am using Audioplayer 2.0 and the files are in the /PALM/PROGRAMS/MSAUDIO dir. Any help???
UPDATE: It started working... I think the extra copy in FLASH was cornfusing it... :)

Sorry for the error. All the JPG files in my directory are from my camera. After experimenting a little I found that inorder for PGpocket to even see a file in this directory it has to be named DSCxxxxx.JPG where the x's are numbers. I personally use YiShow which allows one to view several different picture formats and the files can be placed in any directory.
