hard reset every battery change

Hi,

Are you guys familiar with this problem? Every time I change the batteries, my m105 performs a hard reset or sometimes prompts me to erase all data or push any button. Doing the latter just hangs my palm. So before my battery runs out, I synch on my PC then reload everything after I change the batteries. I've put up with this problem for sometime now then I found this forum. Palm wasn't any help. Maybe you could recommend a solution.

The backup capacitor has died. You can:
1) open up the unit, desolder the old capacitor, install a similar one.
2) put in a rechargeable battery pack, e.g. FullCharge. Unfortunately, they don't have a battery door to work with your Palm. You can still use the battery pack, but to charge you would have to open the battery door.
